Easter Egg Earrings

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hippity hoppity on the trail. Look out world - Easter's on its way! Now that you have that ear worm, here is something for you to bead - and quickly - to wear to services or the Easter Egg Hunt - a cute pair of Easter Egg Earrings created by Fusion Beads. All you need are some cylinder seed beads in your color choices, needle, thread and ear wires and you are set to go. These are done in odd count peyote - which I think would make a great project for you to practice odd count peyote if you haven't done it in a while or if you are completely new to the stitch. Spiral Pendant Necklace

This Spiral Pendant Necklace by Linkouture.com is one of those projects that is so easy to make yet, packs such a great big punch of wow! Easily customizable by simply changing the color of pearl used (or why not use a gemstone or Swarovski instead), I think it would make a perfect accessory for prom or even for bridesmaid presents. And, if you add a color pearl or birthstone for a particular child - it would make a great Mother's Day present too (especially for a new mom or grandmom). A few jump rings, eyepins, chain and a perfect pearl are all you need to create this lovely little pendant. Click HERE to find out how to make one yourself. (Project and photo by linkouture.com)

How to Wire Wrap an Eyepin

My beading projects range from bead embroidery to bead weaving stitches like Herringbone to wire wrapping, so sometimes I can go months before I make a basic bead loop. So, I thought it would be a good idea to revisit some basic techniques - like how to make (or wrap) a loop around a headpin or wire. But, even better is knowing how to make a wire wrapped loop because wire wrapped loops don't only look lovely, but they are much more secure - which is great if you are using some expensive stones or pearls. Lucky for us, JewelryTutorialHQ.com has a video tutorial to help us learn that oh so easy, yet sometimes tricky, technique. So, click HERE to learn how to make lovely, secure and consistent
